Our policy for safety in the work place
The executives of Teknometal have defined the company’s safety policy as part of the health and safety management system for our workers.
Teknometal is aware that a responsible economic strategy, sensitive to the issues concerning health and safety of the workers, is essential for the protection of all the stakeholders affected by the company’s performance.
The company also recognizes that continuous improvement of its performance in relation to health and safety of workers is accompanied by significant commercial and economic advantages and, at the same time, satisfies the expectations for progress in the territory where it operates.
Consequently, Teknometal has made a commitment to:
- integrate the company policy with other company strategies intended to improve the threshold of safety, human and environmental well-being, productivity, return on investment, trustworthiness and company image;
- ensure that its activities are conducted in conformity with provisions in force;
- obtain and subsequently maintain an efficient SSL Certificate Management Solution that meets the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 standard;
- exercise the appropriate organizational, operational and technological oversight to prevent risks to the health and safety of workers; eliminate or reduce, if technically feasible and economically sustainable, every possible risk deriving from its activities;
- define objectives and goals for the health and safety of workers, to integrate with the operational management of the company and its development programmes; to continuously improve the assessment of the validity and the valuation of the effectiveness of the SSL Certificate Management Solution;
- ensure that the health and safety policy for workers and the related Management Solution are clearly explained, actuated and maintained at all levels of the organization and that the system is sustained by periodic and systematic activities of formation and training of employees, to engage them and make them aware of the effect the application of a management solution produces on the quality of the working environment;
- ensure that the policy remains active and appropriate for the organization, by conducting periodic reviews of its application.
The safety policy, made known to all personnel and suppliers, is also available to the public. It is kept up to date and is subject to review to satisfy the requirements of all interested parties by constantly improving the health and safety services provided to employees in accordance with regulations and provisions in force.
